Duplicate files in system.ini

After running Norton Ghost, every time I switch on I get the following error message during startup: 'A device has been specified more than once in the system.ini file, or a device specified in the system.ini file conflicts with a device being loaded by a MS-DOS device driver or application or a device loaded from the Registry file. Remove the duplicate device from the system.ini file and restart Windows. Duplicated device: vcd'. Could you tell me what the vcd device is and where I should look for it?

This error message is quite detailed and straightforward. To remove the device vcd from system.ini, start the System Configuration Editor. Do this by clicking Start, Run. Type sysedit and hit Enter. When the editor starts, select the window displaying system.ini. Scroll down the file until you find the section [386Enh]. You need to look for a line that says 'device=*vcd'. Once you've found this line, turn it into a harmless comment by inserting the command 'rem' in front of it. Now save the changes and restart Windows. If the advice you received in the error message is correct, this should solve your problem.
